Well, for my first experience, I'll tell you something special.

I've moved cities twice, but the first time was the most significant because I wasn't used to it back then. I had spent my whole life in the same city; in fact, my dad moved to the new city a year before we did. That year flew by, and as soon as I finished school, it was time to leave everything behind. Everything from my house was loaded onto a truck for a 300-kilometer journey. Honestly, making a change isn't easy, it certainly wasn't for me the first time, but if you stay in your comfort zone forever, you can't be ready for big things.

Back in middle school, specifically in the third year, there was a teacher who had some sort of issue with me.

Being who I am, I would talk to a friend and sometimes get up from my seat, but I still did the assignments and paid attention, which was the important thing. Even so, he would scold me; he even went so far as to kick me out of the classroom and speak to my mom. But I had to wise up, and I managed to finish the school year. If I may offer a piece of advice regarding strict teachers: do everything exactly the way they want, and you'll pass in no time (sincerely: an A+ student).

Well, after the incredible chemistry teacher came the final stretch: graduation.

I noticed that many people were nervous, and with good reason, given the presence of teachers, principals, and their families. What heightened the tension was the nature of the ceremony: it involved going up on stage to receive documents and have one's photo taken, it wasn't just any ordinary event. Yet, I wasn't nervous; I knew I was about to embark on a new phase with a higher level of difficulty, but instead of viewing it as a problem, I saw it as a challenge I was ready to overcome. That is why I felt no nerves and faced it.

It is never a bad thing to learn about your own country's history; in fact, it is a great opportunity. I was thrilled when I found out that for summer vacation, the same summer I graduated, we were going to Mexico City.

It is the nation's capital, the root of our history, and the largest, most populous city in all of Mexico. Everything was normal when we boarded the plane, but midway through the flight, we hit some light turbulence; since it was night, visibility was zero, and I got very nervous. Fortunately, nothing bad happened, and we arrived around three in the morning. From then on, it was all about exploring and having a good time. I highly recommend visiting because there is so much to do; the city is vast, offering everything from museums, incredible restaurants, and historical monuments, like the pyramids, to simply having a great time. By the way, here is a tip from someone who has visited Mexico City: bring an umbrella.

By the time I reached the final grading period of my first semester of high school, I had managed to settle in really well. But there was one thing I was going to struggle with: the final science project (I'm so sick with this of science).

Well, basically, we were assigned a final project that involved collecting clothes to donate to the homeless. But on top of the collection itself, we had to create a large, information-packed poster and run a TikTok ad campaign. It was incredibly stressful because we had exams and other projects going on, plus the holidays were approaching and we just wanted to get everything finished. It turned out that after we'd already handed everything in, just days before the deadline, the poster was wrong, so they only accepted the clothes. You can imagine the state we were in, going crazy trying to fix it, but we managed to submit it with just one day to spare! In the end, everything worked out fine, as always.

During the second semester of high school, there was a really annoying subject called "Educational Guidance" that served no purpose other than to leave us with pending assignments, or so we thought.

One day, out of the blue, our teacher told us we were going to a town near the school called "El Portón" and gave us a consent form for our parents to sign. When the day arrived, we were all really excited because programming students at my school don't usually go on field trips like that. We arrived at an elementary school and spent some time picking up trash from the soccer field. But the best part was yet to come: the kids came out of their classrooms for recess, and my friend had a cheap ball we could use, so that's exactly what we did. You could see us having a blast playing soccer with the elementary school kids; we split our class into teams to keep it fair and played for a while. Once the tasks were done, we had to head back to school, and let me tell you, nobody wanted to leave, and with good reason. It's an experience I'll certainly never forget.
